Arsenal target Yaya Sanogo has admitted that he
cannot wait to make the move to North London next season.
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger confirmed on Friday
that the club were close to bolstering their attacking line up with the signing of the young Auxerre striker,
and now the 20-year-old has stated that Arsenal are his only choice if he is to
move across the Channel.
"Arsenal could be a great club for me,"
Sanogo told Sky Sports. "I scored nine goals this season with Auxerre and
they think I can improve my level in England.
"I am pleased to be following in the footsteps
of Abou Diaby who came through from Auxerre. There are many teams interested in
me, but Arsenal is my choice."
Sanogo has scored nine times in 11 Ligue 1 games
this season, and began his career as a schoolboy with Les Ulis, where Arsenal
legend Thierry Henry came through the ranks.
