Real Madrid unveil new kit sponsor

Spanish soccer giants Real Madrid have revealed details of a new five-season shirt sponsorship deal with Emirates Airlines.

With the football season drawing to a close - it's that time of the year - when we get to have a look at new kits.

Showing off their new strip, Real Madrid lifted the lid on a new partnership with Emirates Airlines.

While no official figures were released for the shirt sponsorship contract, it is reported to be worth up to 30 million euros ($38.90 million) a year.

Real Madrid President Florentino Perez announced the deal at the Bernabeu Stadium.

"Emirates has become the new Real Madrid main sponsor, and they will be so for the next five seasons, a strategic alliance with universal vocation due to the great dimension of both institutions."

The Dubai-based carrier replace online betting firm bwin who have sponsored the Spanish club's shirts for the last six years.

Real will finish the 2012-13 league campaign trophyless - now with a new kit, new sponsor, and soon to be a new manager, they'll also be hoping for a new start.
