Manchester United centre-back Rio Ferdinand has
called on the FA to change their system of punishment after Liverpool striker
Luis Suarez received a 10-match ban for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic.
The severity of the ban has seen many unhappy with the sliding scale of punishments from the governing body, which would suggest that the incident was more serious than players being found guilty of racial abuse.
"I honestly think we need to revamp the punishment system we have in place in our game.Doesn't make sense at all," Ferdinand said on Twitter, referencing an article condemning the FA for their stance on the matter.
